I didn't always like LotR. Despite having read The Hobbit when I was 9 (and loved it!), I initially didn't like the FotR movie. Months later my brother got the DVD and after a few repeat viewings it was love! By the time The Two Towers rolled around I was fairly obsessed and it has pretty much escalated from there. I've now read LotR, The Silmarillion, most of the Histories of Middle-earth and some Tolkien biographies. I also like reading essays online about Tolkien's work because I'm weird like that. :P
Why run a LotR website?
Because I love Lord of the Rings! I know that there are hundreds of LotR websites out there so much better than mine will ever be, but I nonetheless enjoy having one. I hate seeing all the dead LotR fansites that are such a common occurance online so I decided to take over one and make it popular again-with zero webdesigning skills or any idea of what I was doing. I now have some webdesigning skills but still don't know what I'm doing. ;)
